Binary alloy of silver and indium, the maximum solubility of indium in silver is about 21%. There are AgIn18, AgIn90, AgIn97 and so on. It was prepared by powder method. Can be processed into wire and sheet.




Application




AgIn18 is a sliding element, commutator, etc. AgIn90 and AgIn97 were used as low temperature materials. Also used as control rods for nuclear reactors.
